What's in the bag?

Reviews measure a paddle when it is new. This page is for what happens after you buy it: what you carry, how many hours you put on it, and when the grit or the core gives out.

Everything on this page is stored on this device, in this browser. Nothing leaves the device unless you press “Send” on a wear report, and a report is aggregates-only on the other end: hours, sessions and wear for one register paddle, with no name, no device id and no free text. There is no account and no name field. A bag never touches the Rally ladder.

Why log this?

Reviewers measure a paddle new. They test it in its first few hours and then it goes back in the box. Nobody measures it at hour sixty.

The only people who know how long a paddle lasts are the ones playing with it every week, and almost none of them write the hours down. A bag is a place to write them down.

If enough players keep a bag, the paddle register can publish real lifespans: hours until the grit fades and hours until the core goes soft, by model. The pooling is opt-in, one paddle at a time: after five hours on a register paddle, its card offers to send a wear report. You see exactly what goes before it goes. Nothing goes on its own.

A grit check is your own read of the face, from 1 (new) to 5 (gone). Cost per hour uses the register's list price, not what you paid, and shows after five hours.
